Join us on 22nd February 2026
The Sheffield Women in Computer Science Society (SWiCS) is excited to announce the launch of our very own single-day, inclusivity-focused hackathon!
With 6-hours of dedicated building time, you'll have the exciting opportunity to code AI-powered solutions, and go from ideation to creation within a supportive environment of fellow students.
We welcome beginners, first-time hackers, and students from all backgrounds, especially those from underrepresented groups in STEM :).
We'll be located in the university's iconic Diamond building, only 15 minutes away from the coach and train stations via public transport.
Partners
SWiCS is proud to partner with the following organisations and societies, who share our commitment to inclusivity. Huge thanks to them for making Hack With SWiCS possible!

The Diamond (University of Sheffield)

What is the team size limit?
Teams can be made up of 1 to 4 people. We'll have a team building activity early on in the day if you need to find teammates
Do I have to stay overnight?
Nope! We want Hack With SWiCS 2026 to be as accessible to as many people as possible, which means no need for overnight hacking
How much does it cost to attend?
Thanks to our sponsors and partners, Hack With SWiCS is completely free to attend and food will be provided
Will the travel to Sheffield be reimbursed?
SWiCS is presently unable to provide travel reimbursements. However, Sheffield is well-connected by coach and train, so feel free to reach out to us for recommendations about low-cost travel routes
